Sunday, July 21st from 7:30p-8:45p
“If we cannot be happy in spite of our difficulties, what good is our spiritual practice?”
~Maha Ghosananda
The aim of spiritual life is to awaken a joyful freedom, a benevolent and compassionate heart in spite of everything. Connect with Mayuri and fellow seekers to explore how to connect to this space within to help to bring you back to a space of gratitude and deep joy, even when times are challenging. We’ll awaken our loving mind to remind ourselves of the greatness and abundance that surrounds us, that’s often hidden and ignored by our ego.
Satsang is a Sanskrit word. It means to gather in the presence (sang) of the Truth (Sat). Satsang is a gift to yourself. It is the opportunity to consciously tune in to your ever-present inner Source or Self - to open yourself to it and to rest in it. Through Meditation, wisdom teachings, yoga nidra (deep relaxation), and through discussion and dialogue, we’ll connect to our divine inner-self while exploring teachings relevant to our everyday human experience.
Embodied Wisdom Satsangs are for everyone. Whether you have just started meditating or you have been meditating for years, the shared experience of connecting to our Source of inner strength and freedom will inspire you. Regular Satsang strengthens the spiritual energy and helps you to expand and sustain your personal meditation practice, while connecting with other soulful seekers.
Information to Help You Prepare for Satsang.
In order to participate in our community practice fully, you need a computer with a camera/microphone or a mobile phone/tablet with a high-speed internet connection and a quiet place where you are undisturbed and comfortable during the time of online gathering.
You will also experience a yoga nidra (deep relaxation practice). Please wear comfortable clothing, and if possible, have space where you can lie down on the floor, bed, or yoga mat for this closing practice.
You may also like to have a journal or notebook handy along with a pen or pencil.
We use the Zoom video-platform for the video-conference. It is free and easy to use. You will receive an e-mail invitation with full details before the workshop once you register for the event. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't receive the email within one hour of registering.
