What is Yoga Therapy
What is yoga therapy?
Yoga therapy is an individualized practice with the specific needs of the client in mind. It approaches this work from a biopsychosocial model meeting the physical, mental and emotional needs of the client. Yoga therapy is important for anyone who is looking for guidance and a plan for health and well-being. It is accessible to anyone, even (and especially) those struggling with chronic pain.

What happens in a session?
Sessions may include physical poses, breathing practices, meditation, guided relaxation, Yoga philosophy, and stress-reduction techniques, all adapted to suit the client’s condition and goals.
We take a holistic, client-centered approach. That includes consideration for the physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of the self. Mayuri Gonzalez (E-RYT 500 YACEP, MBSR-T, RCYT) will work with you to identify areas of imbalance and create a personalized practice that aims toward improved functioning and happiness on all levels of being.

All session times are EST and booked first come-first served. Due to COVID 19, the majority of sessions are scheduled virtually at this time. A limited number of in-person sessions are available in the Pelham, NY area each week. Please reach out if you are interested in scheduling in-person visits to ensure that they are the right fit for you and available at your location.
